Because of a devastating and debilitating illness which thought then would end in death, my biological mother was forced to give my brother (John H. Housie) and I up for adoption. John being the older was taken in by my mom's baby sister & her husband ( Mr.Mrs. Albertha & Benjamin F. Shuler).Because of a family technicality, I was later adopted by Albertha's sister-inlaw Mrs. Sarah Shuler Johnson who lived next door.......".
